Interior Design is a creative and technically challenging field. Training at college for a career in interior decorating is for those who have a keen sense of aesthetics and a thorough understanding of the importance of using space effectively and efficiently. While learning different aspects of design, students develop the artistic abilities necessary in order to carry out both commercial and residential projects. The Academy in Montreal provides AutoCAD (computer assisted design) training that enables the student to be on the leading edge of the Interior Design Field. The Academy's approach to Interior Design is to develop the student's talents and skills to their fullest potential through exposure to all aspects of interior decoration.

    Each applicant must have achieved a sufficient level of education as judged by the Academy as well as meeting one of the following conditions: to have interrupted his or her studies for a period of at least two sessions or one full academic year (Quebec students only); or to have completed at least one year of post secondary study over a period equivalent to two or more regular sessions. Applicants must demonstrate their aptitudes and interests for their chosen program of study offered by the Academy.
